Ingredients
- 1 pound pecans
- 3 Tbs. salt
- 1 ½ quart water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 275° F.
- In a large container, combine water and salt; bring to a boil.
- Add pecans, turn off heat and stir 3 or 4 minutes.
- Drain in a colander.
- Place damp pecans in a roasting pan and salt liberally.
- Bake 10 minutes and salt to taste.
- Continue baking 75 minutes longer shaking pan every 15 minutes.
- Pecans should be completely dry when done.
